Fireside accessories

In cold weather conditions, make sure you have all the Fireside accessories that you need.

Customers can buy everyday consumables such as firelighters and kindling, matches, coal and wood.  We also stock all sorts of fireside accessories like log baskets, grates, ash pans, fire guards and companion sets.

Fuel

We keep 25kg bags of National Coal who have good quality English coal from the last mine in Yorkshire.

Sitting in front of a crackling fire can be very relaxing but you might suffer with smoke escaping into the room, this can be easily rectified by opening a window a crack to improve air supply. Better get a carbon monoxide alarm though, just to be safe.

If your wood smoulders or hisses as it burns, you might be using wet wood.  Two logs should make more of a crack than a thud if you knock them together before putting them on a fire.

Bonnett’s shop and workshop are regularly open Monday to Friday from 8.30 in the morning until 4.30pm.

The top shop is open on Saturday mornings from 9am until midday.

We are closed on bank holidays and for the week between Christmas and New Year.
